*This letter was found after my beloved Grandma Blossom passed away. It was found stuck in a cook book that was with her belongings and addressed to me. I feel we can all learn something from our elders because they've lived! I hope to be as amazing as Blossom, for the memories of her beauty and soul will live with me forever. Here is the advice that was addressed:
-Believe in God
-Pray everyday
-Be true to yourself
-If you say you'll do something, DO IT, or have a good reason not to
-Be on time
-Listen (to advice), then make up your own mind
-Be responsible for your own actions
-Learn from your mistakes, I'm still making them at 75 and sometimes I think even at this age I act or speak in haste, sometimes its OK but not always -never to old to learn
-The say, the greatest wisdom comes from asking the greatest mistakes. Its all a part of growth and life.
-I try not to sweat the small stuff, deal with the essentials the best you can
-Sometimes I'm wrong even when I think I'm right, then I ask for forgiveness and move on
-Remember - life is as interesting as you make it
*These next words of wisdom were from my Grandmother's Aunt Lucy at the age of 95, this was also written with the letter:
-Let your hope keep you joyful
-Be patient in your troubles and pray at all times
-When I became handicapped I found out I was loved and worth while just as I am!
